Marie-Louise Tufford

Mary-Louise "arrived" at Women's College Hospital in Toronto in 1932. She attended Western Tech, Ryerson Polytech (for radio broadcasting), Humber College (for nursing) and Seneca College (for pottery).

She raised 7 children with a wonderful husband whose hobby is Tufford's Christmas Tree Farm in Stouffville, Ontario.

Mary-Louise writes, "Working with my hands has always been my joy. I studied pottery and jewellery-making, and had the opportunity to do plein air painting in France under the teaching of Elsa Hughs. I also studied landscape painting under the direction of Judy Greves of Unionville, portrait painting under Susan Statham of Grafton, and caustic art under Susan Fisher in Peterborough."

Mary-Louise is at present being challenged by Acrylic Dirty Pour on the Internet, while Carving at the Cobourg Community Centre.

Her philosophy :   Never stop learning and being challenged.
