Georgia McNicoll

Georgia has dabbled in some kind of artistic endeavour most of her adult life and has been painting seriously since 1990. She began with folk-art and progressed to oils and acrylics. Since her retirement and move to Port Hope in 2003, she has painted exclusively in oils and acrylics.

Georgia is primarily self-taught but has taken many classes with great, talented instructors. One of her favourite and most influential instructors was
Joanne Purdy, who now lives in Vancouver. Georgia likes to paint animals, flowers and landscapes, and occasionally dabbles in abstracts as well. She has sold quite a few of her pieces in art shows and as private commissions.

Georgia is a member of the Pine Ridge Art Association and enjoys the company of its many members.
