Trained as an architectural draftsman and having worked on the Great Lakes and later for a land surveying company, Robert retired in 2004 after 30 years working in the beverage industry.

A self taught oil painter, with a preference for portrait works, he joined Brampton Beaux Arts very shortly after retiring.

Robert moved to Cobourg, Ontario in 2012 to be closer to his grandchildren. He continues to paint in oils and is a member of The Pine Ridge Art Association.

Robert has participated in numerous exhibitions. His work can be found in public and private collections.
